Six years later, Edith, one of the ladies, is wedded to the proprietor of the school of fencing, while the other, Yvonne, is studying for a singer's career. Six months later,the singer who has made a great impression, tires of her career, and makers her home with Edith and her husband. Yvonne later on falls a victim to temptation, and an illicit love henceforward exists between the pair. The tragic story ends in a duel between Edith and Yvonne, in which the former is fatally wounded.
